how many miles is on the part?

asand1 10-05-2012 04:38 PM

Its a common enough problem that I wouldn't risk installing a used part.

i would just like to know how many miles on the part before it broke.

maxinout93 10-07-2012 12:52 AM

mine died yesterday i bought it from parts geek total $106 for pullley,2 belts and the front seal.

My original pulley (1997 model) failed around 133k miles.
The failure seems to be related to age more than miles.
The steel on the original part appeared to be perfect, it is that non-metal section between the inner and outer steel parts that deteriorates to the point of failure.

iDuty 10-08-2012 06:16 PM

Rob, yes, it had a slight wobble months before it began to squeak and threaten to dismember itself if I didn't fix it ASAP.
