Oem or what

I dropped my car a few years ago didn't like it overall so i put the factory springs back on. Ever since then no matter what ive done it rides hard. I did put some monroe struts on it 2urs ago and no big difference. I was told to get it with a soft feel like before go with tokico, but then i heard it will still be rough so i wanted to know whats best for having a soft comfortable ride. Oem or what's best...please let me know thanx.

I've heard the Monroes are rough. I think you'd like Tokico Blues. They're OEM replacement but on the softer side. Paired with OEM springs it should ride smooth.

You probably screwed up that shock when removing it. Plus you also need alignment. Logic dictates if the car rode fine before remove and reinstall then you messed something up. Make the strut mounts properly seatEd and facing the right direction.

Any strut will ride stiffer than a worn out 15 year old strut. You got used to floating down the road and now you don't have a good basis for comparison.

The Monroe Matic (blue strut) rides like crap. KYB's are also on the firm side.
Tokico Blues will give you that factory smooth ride back.

Personally I run the Tokico Illumina set on 2 up front and KYB GR2 in the rear. The added dampening of the KYB in the rear and the smooth Tokico up from make a really nice combo.
