beer shift knob...
okay im seriously thinking about picking up a beer tap as soon as the seller contacts me, i know it wont fit. i know i need a drill bit and tap, so my questions is what size dril bit and tap do i need to make it flush with my stock shifter? or should i just take off my stock knob and see? that was my first idea but i had the internet so why not ask you guys? :D
|
If its more than three inches tall i would not do it. Beer tap shifters belong in pickups. Sorry I so not know the thread pitch/dia.

Yes, thats the correct size and pitch.

More than about three inches tall and your hand would be higher than your elbow. That would be uncomfortable and may affect shifitng.

I need to sell my car so I don't have to read these forums and see the result of the ever aging 4th gen.
|
IMO it's not anymore foolish then decorating your car with a bunch of CF parts that are just for bling bling.....

not a fan of the crown royal shift boot, i like simple leather or the bandana. as for shift knob ive always been a fan of the dildo shift knobs so this is kind of a different way of doing it and its really not going to cost me anything until i get one. http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/6...pg_200x200.jpg this is an example :)

Those things break under normal use. A few rough shifts and you will have to replace it. As long as its cheap to put in then I say go for it if you like it.

A sports bar that used to be next to my workplace was changing out all their taps, and while I was out back on a "smoke break" :nervous: I liberated some, including a Dos Equis beer tap, thinking along the same lines.
It's probably lost in the garage, or somewhere up in the attic |

Here you go OP. Perfect for you since you like dildos etc.

In an objective sense, no. Not one bit. Unless you can prove otherwise, which I'm open to hearing, I'm open for more functional mods to be done, so I'm willing to learn. Cause where it stands, it's just a bunch of Christmas tree like decorations (There is deeper meaning to that statement then just the obvious, take away the decor and what do you have? Just a pine tree) just to separate yourself from ordinary everyday Maxima eg. Max Ride 41 who's work will go 100% un-noticed by any non-org member or someone who doesn't do detail work for a living. |
