Engine missing EVAP purge volume control valve and black valve on 5 speed 1995 se max

1 Attachment(s)
Hey first thread so i got a 95 Max 5 Speed has a starting prob swapped a couple of parts. So went to go grab the back coils from my extra engine. To remove last coil on the right side I removed the EVAP purge volume control valve together with the other small black valve and noticed the my engine did not have it. It also has this weird valve that goes into the intake manifold and have never seen it on any other max. Car runs fine feels like it has a major loss of power. Will post pic tommorow morning and try to install the evap valve even though I cant seem to locate the connection that goes into it. the pic shows how it should look likeAttachment 32001

The car runs fine but has major loss off power? That doesn't make sense, lol.

on 95 models california spec cars have the purge control and cut valves, all others do not

EVAP had nothing to do with engine performance.

Yet again, another 95 max claiming it has missing EVAP components. If the connector is not there, then it is not needed for your car. Your major loss of power must be throwing a code.

Help.. just checked my codes have six, car does runs ok ish has a small loss of power compared to my other 5 speed maximas ive had. but major problem is that it struggles to turn on. These are the codes p0340 camshaft position sensor, p0100 maf sensor circuit performance error , p0150 oxygen sensor, p0325 knock sensor, p1335 crankshaft position sensor (ref) and p1400 auxilary emission control

If you are missing parts, you will definitely have codes. The photo in your original post shows the Canister Purge Control Valve used on California emissions cars. Here is a drawing with the different types of Canister Purge Control Valves. The federal emissions car is on the left and the california emissions car is on the right.

Crankshaft Sensor "A"

I see in the codes you have two crankshaft codes, the 335 is for which sensor? I just checked mine and I need to know which sensor is sensor "A" as that code speaks of crankshaft sensor"A" and I see no reference as to which is A or B.

Thanks

Sorry to revive an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one for what seems like a similar issue. I have a 1995 that I'm trying to troubleshoot. I'm getting a P1400 code and the car is running pretty badly. The engine in the car is from a later model and I have a plug coming from the EGR that I don't see anywhere to plug in under the hood. (The engine swap appears to be a hack job so that's why I'm confused. Now, from what I think I understand that the 1995 doesn't have the EGR control valve but it does still have the EGR. Could the clogged valve be what's causing the P1400? Should I just cut the harness from the EGR valve since I don't have anywhere to plug it up? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide!
