auto transmission slip when shifting to 2nd

Video attached of me doing a quick 0-60. My question is, why does it shift so slowly to 2nd gear? Is my tranny starting to fail or is it related to the tranny fluid/condition?

Thoughts? Anybody?

Did you check the fluid? is there a cel for it?

Check fluid first. If it checks out, I would scan for tranny codes for one of the solenoids.

i couldn't see in the video, whats your mileage? your tranny might just be old and need a rebuild.

mileage is about 176k. Also at the very end did you see how the RPM's jumped before shifting?

Did you see a red light come on the dash when it was struggling to shift? (it's on the video)
Throw a scanner on it and see if you can pull any codes.

The red light is the security light blinking. It blinks all the time when the car is on.

Almost seems like your converter is locking up. Converter clutch? Dunno
