For people w/ AGX's, do I need to buy new bushings?
 

I'm about to install KYB AGX's & B&G springs, do I need to buy new bushings or I can use stock ones? and if yes, where do I buy them at?

You have a 99 so you may not need some items but...
Check out the above thread for some deals on suspension componsnts. I would replace bushings, strut bearings, dust covers if you need them and definately get the new spring isolator sleeves.

look very closely at the shocks in the rear. make sure you have all those rubber spacers and metal washer covers. if you don't transfer them over to the new aftermarket shocks or buy new rubber pieces, your shocks will make all sorts of crazy noises. good luck.

As VQdriver said. Just check everything before you do the job. Dust boots are prone to breaking. Your car is only 3 years old so many of your suspension parts will still be in good shape. I would highly recommend putting new spring isolator sleves on your new B&G springs. These play a key role in keeping your springs QUITE.

I just went to Courtesy Nissan, to check on some prices and here it is:

Front:

Strut Spacer $10.69
Strut Bearing $19.76
Strut Dust Cover $14.25
Polyurethane Sleeve $9.69

Rear:
Strut Spacer $2.76
Dust Cover $14.76
Rubber Seat $12.08
Polyurethane Sleeve $8.25
Cover Washer $8.27
Isolation Bushing $2.76

Sh*t! The total comes up to $206.54 without tax...WTF!?!? Do I really need to get all of these parts??? Does someone else sells them cheaper maybe?

From what I understand, the rear isolation bushing and cover washer (both x2) are essential for the install. Everything else can be reused...it's just a matter of whether or not you want to replace things that you think are worn or not. I am in the process of doing this myself, so if I am wrong, please correct me...

Take a look at this thread, esp. the last post http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ght=dust+boot. Those two parts (isolation bushing and cover washer) seem to be extremely important. Other than that, I don't think anything has to be brand new.

"njmaxseltd" keeps talking about replacing the spring iso. sleeves, and that seems to make sense. I have a 99 SEL and I'm going to replace a lot of the parts just to be on the safe side.

KYG/Eibach combo
 

I noticed you have the KYG/Eibach combo that i was thinking about getting. I have the Eibachs on order, and i was going to use the Tokicos until I cruised the maxima.org pages. are the KYG's any harder to install than the Tokicos? in other words, do i have to cut anything up the way i would if i used the Koni's?

KYB's are plug and play unlike the Konis. Most people will tell you to get the KYB AGXs over every other shock especially the Tokicos.
Stan: You knew this was an expensive mod when you started. Replacing everything probably isn't necessary, but even if you spent all $200 it's worth it to not have problems and squeeks forever :P I'm up next for suspension; I should have H&Rs w/ AGXs by midsummer.
