Lower Intake Manifold Removal- Help
Has anyone removed the lower intake manifold?
I have removed the upper, and damaged the threads.
We tried helicoil, but the mechanic said the last one was beyond repair....
and installed a nut to try to torque it down.
I don't like how the gasket sits, and I seem to be missing on a cylinder.
Just figured i'd buy a new lower intake manifold and swap it out.
Does anyone have any info resources on how to remove the lower intake manifold?

Just to clarify: An intake plenum bolt stripped in the intake manifold?
I would pick up another intake manifold from a salvage yard, clean it up, then install with new intake gaskets. You may need to replace the rubber injector seats.
Actually it was so easy to remove that I don't remember anything about it.. :-) I think it took a 12mm socket to remove it. Removing and re-installing the intake plenum was way harder to me.
If you don't get an answer today, I'll post some pics tonight as I just re-installed mine on Sunday.

I pulled mine up when I removed the UIM to change the gaskets. IIRC its just a few bolts and the connectors for the fuel injectors and the fuel rail. I didn't disconnect the fuel rail.
I would grab one from a junkyard if you can. Cheapest option.
