Radiator Fan relay # 1 is what makes the 2 radiator fans run when the engine coolant temperature reaches 203º F (95º C). If there is a wire broken off of this relay, then this is not happening.

But the engine won't overheat because the radiator fans are 2 speed fans. So when the engine coolant temperature reaches 221ºF (105º C) while idling or 212º F (100º C) while driving, then the high speed portion for the fans start up to cool the engine.

But with summer coming, fix that wire.
