4th gen iacv code wont go away
 

Ive searched for possible causes..or anyone with same testimony..i hav 99 cali spec 5mt ...bought it with no codes...3 mo later iacv went.i replaced it with oem from a parts car with NO CODES ..the light hasnt came on after obd2 reset ..no drive cycle was done..1 mo after that the knock snsr..which i bought hitatchi from rock auto ...code never came back on for that..but few days later the iacv & pending came on..i swapped in 2 iacvs with no codes one was oem used the other was aftermarket brand new this code wont go away ... i dont hav wiring issue...anyone experience that shyt i dont wanna go to nissan and pay 112.00 for diagnostic just yet...thys is preventing me from going to get my nys inspc sticker da right way lol as yall know in nyc its ticket city so dont troll me please i got parts n got my hands dirty offer advice please its my 3rd 4th gen se 5mt so i kno a lil sumthin

Whats the cel code for it? I'd try a new harness and connector or atleast try cleaning the one you have. a multimeter could come in use here if you wanna try testing your wires

Do they teach English and grammar in schools anymore? It's difficult to read and understand that nonsense writing.

If the code isn't going away by replacing the device it points to several times, then common sense says the ECU isn't recognizing the device as functioning or cannot see it.

Check the wiring from the IACV plug all the way back to the ECU with an OHM meter. It sounds as if you have a broken wire somewhere along the line.

So this is grounds for wack jokes i know common sense ..either ommit ya helpful input or ignore the post i already kno bout ecu i was asking for helpful hints before gettin to that point ...duh

I imagine that your friends write and speak like you do. Most of us will not understand you.

I got the same problem with mines, but this is hilarious!:laugh:

Instead of blindly swapping parts, get out your ohmmeter and check the IACV. Page 375 in the EC section of the 1999 Nissan service manual says the 4 stepper motor windings should each measure approximately 30 ohms.

If the resistance readings are good, then start reading from page 369 for other troubleshooting steps.
