Ignition coil broke in two - how'd this happen?
After a few weeks of annoying MAF issues, then replacing the MAF but breaking a brittle piece of the air intake, when I put it back together with a couple new pieces and a new air filter last weekend, I expected a smooth engine again.
Instead, it sounded like a tank and upon checking the codes, I found cylinder 2 misfire - p0302. Today I found the cause of the misfire being a broken ignition coil, I wondered how can one of these break like mine did? It is the original Hansin part. http://flic.kr/p/zUakYn |

I believe it was an original. Good idea to have some spares around. I should plan a trip to the local JY to practice taking off the UIM and the fuel rail as I want to refurbish my injectors and replace my FPR sometime soon.
