5 speed ran with no tranny fluid

Long story short my car was not able to move like it had a broken axle. We looked at both axles and both were fine. We look too if i had any tranny fluid and it was bone dry. The dealer put my fluid in last so im not sure how it leaked allmy fluid that fast but im sure my car is screwed but can anybody give me an idea what this might be ? And how to fix it? Somebody said its gears in the differential. It wont let me upload a video but its making a loud tapping noise in the tranny when in gear.

Well of course it's not a good thing. Running bone dry like that you may need a new tranny. Talking horse in the group deal section sells gl4 fluid for a decent price. It's understandable that you didn't check the tranny, I mean it's not as easy as checking a dipstick. Hell I've never checked the fluid in mine yet (too lazy.) If adding fluid doesn't help then I'd consider buying a new max. More cost effective to replace the car than the transmission.

Drivers side axle popped out and dumped fluid on the ground. The sound you hear is the splines of the differential side gear slipping past the splines of the inner CV joint.

Is this the noise you hear? Does the speedometer move when you try to drive? At 0.06 you can see the shiny sealing surface of the CJ joint where its popped out.

are you saying the car was driven for an unknown period of time with no oil in it? if it was driven more than like 5 minutes at any sort of speed i'd be shocked if the entire transmission is not trashed.
