How many use locking vs. unlocked? Any help with how the drive would be different or should i just stick with what the plate says and go from there?

If I'm not mistaken the need for those parts designated as "locking" or "unlocked" relates specifically to your transmission/differential.

Also, I'm not quite sure what this means ...

FWIW, my non-locking (aka not limited slip) is currently running these without issue.

I have never heard of locking cv shafts in this car.

Limited slip is built into the differential. Most of us do not have this feature, but our Canadian members often do.

I don't know what you are talking about. Do not comprised this question.

locking is if you have the LSD, which wasn't available on US Maximas. Some Canadian Maximas have it, but down here it was I30-only (most, but not all, I30's have the LSD)

My I30 has it
