I'm pretty sure JvG is referring to the security light on the dash to the left of the steering column. Is this the light you are telling us is not on?

The red security light being on when you are trying to start the car is you problem. The car is immobilized by the NATS system and the ECU has turned the fuel injectors off.

Please look at the blue bar near the top of this screen. you will see a Search button. enter something like:
1999 nats no start or similar terms. there should be several threads about this issue. Your situation is a common problem with those. Did you reach through the open window on the drivers door to start the car instead of opening the door, then start the car? Our cars don't like that, especially the 1999 model. |
