Intermittent starting problem solved second edition
I was celebrating past week how I solved intermittent starting problem with cleaning of crankshaft position sensor and as it prove latter I didn't solve problem. Then I read in gen 5 forum how guy didn't figure out how his check engine light bulb is dead. Lamps in my head shine right away. Bring my code reader (best tool I had ever) and there was code about bad camshaft position sensor. 3 days after replacement car didn't miss one start. Problem fixed - for real this time.
Another issue worth notice here is that bad sensor have good ohms reading - 1590 Ohms. It prove nothing, only that is not open circuit in sensor, not that it work well. I know it from some auto electric books, it is only another proof of it.
