Hood Liner/Insulation Repair?

Has anyone had any success in repairing/reconditioning their hood liners?

Mine has some tattered spots that make me less than happy.

I experimented with repairing the spots with with aluminum A/C duct tape but the engine heat seems to have a not so favorable effect on the tape's adhesive.

I was also contemplating removing the liner and spraying the entire thing with that Flex Seal stuff but then thought about the heat issue with that stuff too ...

Other than just removing it permanently, has anyone had luck in reconditioning theirs?

Some places still list a new one as available. Others list it discontinued.

Maybe some have NOS sitting there. Maybe there is a superseded part number.

Or maybe one is easily adaptable from a newer model that is still current.

I can appreciate having everything restored like new, and even better with new parts. Nothing feels better. Then of course the diminishing returns reality sets in.

Hopefully, this increment won't be cost prohibitive! Good luck!

I didn't find that one ...

I checked CourtesyParts and they don't offer it any more. Infinitiparts says they have but I was unsure if the Maxima and i30 are duplicates.

Much obliged for the leg-work.

I'm itching to try some of the aircraft noise insulation material. Need to talk to one of my buds that restores/upgrades personal jets to pick out something that would take engine compartment heat.

A 5th gen will work but is a few inches too short. The holes lined up perfect except at the end. If I recall, the 4th gen has 2 or 3 taps at the end to hold it in place. Since it is shorter I found a drill bit that is the same size as the holes for the clips and drilled more holes at the end to snug it up.
