Waxing interior vinyl

Has anyone here heard of waxing your interior vinyl door panels and dash for protection? I have a friend who has been doing this for years. Wax is supposed to offer UV protection. I use 303 for my vinyl. I just wanted some of y'alls input.

Never heard of waxing vinyl.

What is this '303' that you speak of?

I like 303 Aerospace Protectant.. I see it used the most on boats that are exposed to the sunshine all summer.

The 303 is nice ... water based ... good stuff.

Murphy' Oil Soap is another really nice product for both interior (plastic, vinyl and leather) and exterior applications.
