I've looked at the fsm and around the forums a bit (been a bit of a lurker for a while) and I can't figure out how the wiring for the seats work. I got a set of heated leather seats for my base model 98 GXE. I'm only trying to get the power seat portion working for now, but I've been really confused as to how to get it going. The only info I could find here (or through a bit of googling) was that I needed a circuit breaker (24330C9960).

I ordered the circuit breaker and plugged it in under the dash by the gas pedal in the only open slot, but still nothing . So does anyone know if this circuit breaker actually is supposed to replace anything or just go in an open slot (one farthest to the right btw). The fsm says it goes from the battery to a 30A fuse, then a circuit breaker. I double checked the fsm and it looks like the breaker is in the right spot. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Yeah, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting it as well. I'm going to try and double check some stuff again.

I'm going to have to figure out where that 30A fuse is, I wonder if that's what causing it to not move. Would that be the power window fuse or is that separate?

The 30 amp fuse is under the hood by the battery. The cover for the fuse calls it "FL30A POWER WINDOW". This fuse is a square green thing that is called a fusible link. It is used by both the windows and the seats. You could swap it with the 2 right below it as a test if you want to.

The windows and the seats have separate circuit breakers. Both circuit breakers are next to each other, but they are not by the gas pedal. They are up in the corner under the dash, sort of like below the VIN number plate. The 2 circuit breakers are the same kind.

So if the windows work, the fuse should be fine? I've never had any issues with the windows. I hooked the circuit breaker up just below the fusebox near the clutch (looking up from the floor under the dash). I probably shouldn't of said by the gas pedal lol. I'll try disconnecting the new circuit breaker and move the upper one (the window circuit breaker) to the power seat location and see if that does anything. I'm hoping the harnesses aren't messed up at all.

Since the windows are working, the fuse (fusible link) is OK and not the problem with the seats. Was the socket for the circuit breaker empty?

I don't know if this is an issue, but what year/model did those seats come out of? Nissan will use the same electrical connector in different years and models, but will re-arrange the wires in the connector.

You may end up having to do some wire checking. Do you have a voltmeter or a test light?

When you took your seat out did you noticed any pre-taped harness wires that were just sitting there,those are the ones that are supposed to be the ones that go in the seat harness wires. The fuses and or the relays either are pre ready to go or they have to be installed by the dealer.

I second that, driver powered seat should have two harnesses, one for power motor other for heated function. Check ur fuse under the fuse box below the mirror switch, fuse box diagram on the back of the fuse cover number 29

I third that, 4th gens weren't pre wired for heated options such as heated seats with heated mirrors. You'll see the writing on the fuse box, it'll have no relay or relay socket. Your best option is to run power directly to battery.

my passenger power seat is not working. is it on same fuse as driver side?

The power seats and windows use the same fuse - or more accurately, the same circuit breaker.

My 98 is...I've got I30 Infiniti seats and the connectors were under the center console and they worked great!
