Speakers

are the speakers from a 1998 maxima SE...
. the same as a 1998 maxima GLE...

Depends on whether you have Bose speakers or not. If you have Bose speakers in your Maxima then you can just swap them. If not then no. The Bose speakers have amplifiers that provide power

Depends if they are Bose or not.

If both are Bose, then they are the same. If both are NOT Bose, then they are the same.

BUT, if one is Bose and the other isn't, then they will NOT be the same.

I believe Bose was standard on the GLE, and optional on the SE.

If you have the Bose, then you will have to work around that. If you don't, then you are luckier, as any aftermarket radio and speakers will do.
