Oil Leak From Motor Mount?

is there hydraulic oil in the front motor mount in a 98 maxima? i can see oil leaking out of the front motor mount and dripping down to the floor. it looks just like motor oil but doesnt smell. there's also a wire coming through the hole of the motor mount. is that a motor mount sensor wire or is that a oxygen sensor wire going through the motor mount?

Do you have a GLE? If so, your front motor mount is electronically controlled and liquid filled. Your rear mount is just liquid filled.
If an SE, then you have the optional electronically controlled and liquid filled front motor mount
O2 sensor wires have nothing to do with your motor mounts.

i have the 98 SE Auto model. im not getting any codes. surprise theres no videos of anyone changing there 4th gen front and rear motor mounts. so im going to need a front motor mount with sensor. is there a sensor for the rear mounts? mind as well change them both since im taking them both out. im going to try to put some ultra black permatex silicone around the leak while waiting for the parts.

No sensor for the rear mount. Also, cars with manual transmissions do not use the electric mounts. You will not receive a code for the mount or the sensor being unplugged. I run my automatics with the mount sensor unplugged. If you don't like the price of an electric mount for automatics, you can use one for a manual transmission and run with the sensor unplugged.
