Did Ben's speed limiter mod today....
 

I did Ben's speed limiter mod today and wired it to a switch. I turned the switch on because I heard that after about 15 minutes, the check engine light would come on. If it did, I would know the mod worked. Well I drove around for about 20 minutes, and the CEL did NOT come on. I am now very confused. I previously tested the switch the make sure the circuit was wired correctly and that "on" was on and "off" was off, and it worked fine. I am pretty sure that I did the mod correctly, but why isn't the light on? Is it my car or what? BTW I have a 95 GLE. Any ideas? Thanks.

uhh, ya it did. GLEs and GXEs are limited to like 117mph. This is a SPEED limiter, not a revv.

O ..... so even the gxe's with the comfort and convenience package are limited to 120??

im not sure about them, I think they are the only exception other than the SE's of course :cool:

GLEs arent limited.

Plus, the only way to know if the mod workes is to try it. Go faster then 120mph. Sheesh...
