lights when turning on car

I have a quick question for the fellow 4gen owners. I recently had some battery trouble and had to reset my airbag 4 times (yes, 4 times)--and I want to ask this:

when you are about the start your car, turning the key to the ON position, what lights usually come on when the key reaches the ON position? For some reason, as I was turning the key to start the car, I have these lights on (illuminating)-- handbrake, battery, service engine soon, and seatbelt warning lights. All these lights disappear once the engine cranks up...would anyone know if this is a warning sign or a retarded/bad battery?

if you guys can just verify, that would be greatly appreciated. :)
thanks

auto--all the lights light up at the ON postion prior to the ignition of the car...
I feel better if yours did that and the process of all the lights lighting up is normal--knowing that mine is not a FREAK of Nissan. :)
I thought possibly that this is from this crazy battery of mine.

thanks for your comment.

same...

I get the same lights on my 98 se. They all go off once the engine starts with the exception of the "air bag" light, which stays on for a few more seconds. In the manual someplace, I think it says which lights come on/go off and when.

The air bag light has to stay on for 7 seconds and then go off, so if you started your car before that 7 sec is up it will be there for the remainder of that time. As for the other lights, they're supposed to go off as soon as you start the engine.
