18's in the back 17's in the front
If someone had 18 inch rims in the back and 17's in the front would that cause any problems
|
Re: 18's in the back 17's in the front
i don't think it would cause a problem .. it might look a little awkward with the back being higher than the front

This, of course, applies to 18" rims on the front, back, both, etc. |
It's still increased mass, which will create drag. More rotating mass moving in a centripetal motion, against the forward momentum of the car. Accleration will suffer. Not all 18" wheel and tire combinations are equal, and the losses can be minimalized with the right setup, but they'll exist all the same.

I have this set up 17" up front and 18" rear (long story)
but most people can not tell, the different size tires gives it away though. I dont know about slowing the max down if it does you can not feel it at all. |

I know lots of guys who run 18's in the rear and 15's up front for drag racing. They are running ove 100 mph. But of course for the street we have to be PROPER.

bought the rims off ebay and he sent me 2 17" and 2 18" same rims
 but I went with it and from what people have said is that it is easier to turn 17" rims then 18"rims so it kinda helps out a little. Only thing is you can not get a alignment with 2 different size rims so keep your stock rims. Plus you can not rotate the tires :( |
Okay so you got suckered from ebay.:naughty: Can't you do something about that :( ..I dunno I want the back of my maxima to look a little higher .any suggestions

email me thursday I will have a pic of my car then
