ok i got the rear shock/strut off..its still together..how da heck do u remove the piston..the one in the middle..when i turn the bolt./.the one on the inside turns with it..please respond asap..how do u take the thing apart...???

Use a smaller open end wrench or small crescent wrench to hold tip of piston on the flattened top...and use the appropriate size wrench on the nut. Hold the top whole twisting (CAREFULLY) the nut up off the top.

Funny, BrianV and I just went through this last week...it was my first spring/strut install and he was like "WTF is going on? Why isn't that nut coming off?" WizzaMax is right though, hold that top part with some pliers or whatever you've got while you turn the nut.

I reccomend vice grips if you have them. Very handy indeed! :)
