I've cleaned my TB, I've replaced my knock sensor...
I've reset my computer...
Yet, everytime I start up my car, the RPMs run as high as 1500... And after its warmed up, in Park, with NO accessories running, the lowest I'll get to 900-950 RPMS....WTF? Shouldn't my car idle around 700 in Park after warm? For those in cold weather, what RPM range does your Max start at? Should I touch my idle adjustment screw???? thoughts??? thanks! FLO_BOY |

Originally posted by SuDZ Has it always done this or just strted recently? Cause I if it has always done it maybe the line that connects to the throttle ot open up the throlle body? Just a thought. SuDZ and this is when the RPMs started to go higher... From posts on the .org, most people experienced this, but, had this issue go away as the car's computer "re-learned" how to run itself. I figured this would go away after the KS replacement...but, no luck. 3 weeks is awfully long to relearn (esp. after so many computer resets!) -FLO_BOY |
Well if you have resetted the ECU then check it for error codes. See if anything is reported other than 0505. Then check neat the throttle body, is everything tight and connected right?

Re: I've cleaned my TB, I've replaced my knock sensor
After my TB cleaning, my RPM's were high at normal idling, but I just turned my idle adjustment screw down one full turn. Now it idles where it supposed to be.:)
