Nissan emblem from Custommaxima doesn't fit
 

I bought a Nissan emblem from Custommaxima.com, thinking it will fit the 97-99 SE grill that I got when I did the bumper conversion. Well the emblem is a bit narrow. It seem the Nissan emblem that goes onto the grill of a 97-99 Maxima is a bit wider. This emblem seem to fit more on the trunk on the Maxima. So Greg, if you're reading this, make a note. Good thing I could put this emblem elsewhere. I guess I will go to the dealer to make sure I get the right emblem that fits.

Hey man. Someone ripped off my grille emblem a while back. I got a replacement from a Nissan dealer for $24.95. I remember it being curved a little (convex), and not the same size as the trunk emblem... hope that helps.

The one greg sells is from the trunk.

Well there you go right there! The trunk emblem will definitely not fit the grille.

And James, no the pix are from a different incident.

I got the emblem from greg @ custommaxima.com also, and it was for the front grille, anyways mines wouldnt fit my GXE , so i cut off the little plastic things on the back, and stuck it there and made it fit, it fits fine, and hasn't fell off, if it was for the trunk it wouldn't have the little plastic things stickin out the back of it............... :) :gotme:

Well, maybe he should have pointed that out on his site.


Maximuzt: The one that I got definitely doesn't fit the grill. It didn't have the two prongs on the back. The 97-99 grill I have has two holes there, I guess it's there for the two prongs. Maybe I should email Greg to let him know.

yea you should, i was at first but i didnt wanna put myself through all the trouble, it was just a minor mistake of the distrubutor.On the box does it say front , or what does it say

Just said "emblem" on the box. The little plastic bag the emblem was in also said, "emblem". I just emailed Greg about this. I'm not looking to get my money back or anything because I could use the emblem elsewhere. I just wanted to let him know for future references. I know there might be some people who will go nuts over a little thing like this. :)

I have an Apexi WS catback exhaust. Costed me about $400 shipped.

What are you looking for? A whole catback system or just a muffler? If you're looking for just a muffler, Apexi N1 is a good choice.
