air compressor clutch disc

air compressor clutch disc
The air compressor clutch disc has worn out on my 96 Maxima SE, 177,000 miles. I need to get a clutch disc puller to remove the clutch disc. I went to auto zone and they do not have it. The Nissan manual lists the part number as KV99232340 (J-38874) does anyone know where I can get this tool. I don't want to buy a air compressor just for the pulley. Has anyone replaced the clutch disc and pulley. How about a cheap place to buy air compressor.

You may want to consider a shop to do the work for you. Remove your A/C compressor, get the new clutch from the dealer and go to an automotive shop, some higher end auto parts stores have small machine shops in the back. I'm sure they will have a puller to get the old clutch off and possibly press the new one onto your compressor. Don't forget you have to have your system evacuated and refilled by an A/C shop if you open the lines up. All the air has to be sucked out before refrigerent goes back in. You may have to have your drier replaced as well.
