97 Maxima driver's door panel

My outside door handle has come loose and I am trying to get into the interior of the door. I can't get the trim piece off around the interior door handle and lock. Does anyone know how to remove it?

Just pry on it with a large putty knife. It pops right out.

yeah its kind of scary, like you will think your gonna break it but it will pop out.

The clip where it's actually being held onto the door panel is about 1/3 of the way back from the front of the plastic piece, not right in the middle.

Just pry that little clip loose from the top.

You can't see it, but it's there.
