Please help me with my PR CAI Install -- I'm stuck

Ok my friend and I have been messing around with the upper tube of the PR CAI for awhile.

The unit that we have received, has a total of 4 holes.

The 4th hole (which is one of the bigger holes), isn't like the other holes. It doesn't have a tube or anything on it--its just a big flat hole.

From what we could figure out, the AMB temperature sensor should be attached to that hole. However, the AMB sensor doesn't fit in the drilled hole of the upper intake tube!

The installation instructions calls for us to use a "rubber grommet" to connect the AMB sensor to the upper tube, but the only connecting piece attached to my AMB sensor is hard plastic. Do we have to remove that hard plastic piece (it's like a cone-type thing)? We tried but we couldn't--should we try harder? (or maybe there is a special way to remove it)

I have a 1999 Infiniti i30.

Can anyone offer me suggestions? Do I have to seal the AMB sensor to the upper tube with sealant myself or something?

according to cheston from www.maximadriver.com ........."Note that the large hose on the top of the CAI (to the right of the very small hose) does not plug straight in to the CAI. It is curved the wrong way when it mates with the stock air intake tract. The solution is very, very simple: rotate the hose 180 degrees, then you should only need to make one new bend for the hose to connect to the CAI!"

if you are stuck with the AMB sensor.. take all of the parts out of the stock tubing, use a flathead screwdriver and pry it out slowly. then place it all back in the upper tubing..
