Hey, I have 16s (2001 stocks) . Seriously though 1HOTMAX is right, if I had it to do over again I would not settle for less than 17s.

I have 16s off a 2001 SE on my 98 max... see my sig below

Even though I have them, I really want 18s.. 16s seem way too small...

If you want performance, go with some lightweight 17s. Good mix of
contact patch and stiff sidewall...some of the lighter 17s are
16 lbs and under...they look pretty good too...

for show looks, 18s,19s,20s, etc.. no question they look tight...but
outside of the heavy performance sapping weight (25lbs+) of some of these rims, they are easy to damage in relatively minor potholes etc...

good luck choosing rims whatever you do it will transform the
look of your car for the better...

1HOTMAX has got a point, i gots 18s, took all my dough but its worth it, made the whole car look so much different, makes the car look smaller? go figure.

17's are my pick. See the signature below. I love the look and handling, and wouldn't trade them for 16's, but even 17's can make the ride a little less than desirable...

Just my 2 cents...

Not a flame, but some of us want the ultimate in performance for our Maximas. You're not gonna get the ultimate in performance with heavy 17s or 18/19s. I had 17s before and they slowed me down .2-.3 and nearly 2mph. Another way to look at it is the 17s sucked out as much power as what a y-pipe gives. Heavier wheels also increase braking distance, make for worse handling, and a harsher ride. Is it really worth it? I went with lightweight Kosei K1 16s. These wheels are ultralight, cheap $170, and look bigger than 16s (constantly mistaken for 17s). Look at the pic below and see if my 16s look "ghey".

How much do they weigh?? My 17x7s weigh 20lbs. Not bad for a 17. I've seen the Konig? SSR competitons weighed in at 12 lbs for a 17. Damned impressive, but for $400 per rim, they better be.

How much do 4th gen SE 16's weigh?

I've seen people comment on how heavy they are before...
