Indiglo speedo and tach still don't work
I installed my indiglos about 2 months ago. Everything went fine. Easy installation, looks great. At first, the tach and speedo would just jump 1,000 rpm at a time or about 10 mph at a time. Not nearly as smooth as stock. With the temerature rising recently, they got worse. Sometimes they sit still until I am over 35 mph or 2500-3500 rpm. Has anyone had similar problems? Does anyone know how to fix? Please help.
Thanks in advance, 1st97SE |
try using some doube sided tape on the inner radius of the guages and use very small dabs of glue on the outter radius

ya, i had that problem too. i hab indiglos on mah 95. im not sure bout ur year... but the double sided tape didn't work too well, since it held the indiglo gauges onto the actual gauge face, but the actual gauge face wasn't screwed in nemore (i had to remove the screws to put the indiglo gauges in). newayz, what mite be your problem is that the needle is rubbin against ur indiglo gauge face. i had this problem. sooooo... what i did wuz i took out mah gauge cluster, and stuck a nail file underneath the base of tha needle. sand it down a lil, and jus enough so when u put the indiglo gauges bak on, they dun rub against each other. now mah needles run smooth again. yay yay, hope this helps.
