I have not done jack on my car, except for the regular oil changes and the auto tranny fluid at 60k miles. Should I bother tryin to do the rest of the stuff my self? Or should I just go to the dealers. So far it seems like fuel filter, spark plugs are the two major things.

There is no major service at 90000 miles. It wouldnt hurt to do the fuel filter though.

There is no need to go to the dealer if you know how to use a wrench. None of the maintenance operations are difficult, or even complex. Get yourself a Haynes manual and have at it.

The ONLY way you know something is done right on your car is if you do it yourself. I don't think I need to recite any "idiot nissan mechanic" stories right now...

Yeah, it's not that I have no clue, I am pretty mechanically inclined. My problem is jsut that I'm as lazya as a turd. But you're right I probably to bust out my shop manual and get cracking.

Yep, I'm not an expert mechanic, but I've had fun customizing my 88. It's very rewarding, somewhat trivial sometimes, but when realization hits, it's like WOW, I didn't know that!

I don't think I'm gonna do any engine or tranny rebuildings on my own though, unless someone wants to help me.

Kevin, come up to my house one Saturday and we can do the full service together. Takes like an hour to change everything and clean and adjust the throttle body. I'll give you a parts list. Shouldn't cost more then 100 bucks.
