When I bought my 97 GLE, I also paid $500 for STARGUARD. This is seperate from the remote keyless entry. STARGUARD disables the engine even if the correct key is insterted in the ignition to attempt to start the car. You have to insert the correct switch into the STARGUARD, and then are able to start the engine with the key in the ignition.

My question is if the GLEs came with something else instead of the STARGUARD. I think when they installed the STARGUARD, they took out another system that was in it's place. Anybody know if there is another system?

Last time I took my car to the dealer, they told me they are not working with the STARGUARD company anymore.

I've seen systems similiar to what your talking about. These are aftermarket systems (not Nissan's). I hope that may help? I don't think Nissan offers anything like that.
