Ah, I think you need to clarify whether you are trying to use your air-conditioner to cool the air or if you are just opening up the 'vent' function and getting fresh air in. The AC won't cool the air if you don't tell it to and typically the air coming in during a vent cycle is warmer than actual temp due to engine/road heat..

I am talking about just the vent - no A/C.
I am wondering if there could be a duct loose somewhere. When the car was new, I don't recall haviong this problem.
