Melting Harness?

I keep on having to change my head lights harness, because it melts with the heat from the platinum whites bulbs. I installed a new one this weekend and I notice that one head light was brighter than the other. I thought maybe it was the wires or the bulb, so I switch them and nothing change. Is one head light always brighter that the other? If not, what can I do to correct this problem? The car looks like one eye is dead or sleepy or something. Can someone prescribe some medicine for this bad eye.

If the bulbs are higher wattage than stock 65/45, than that's prolly why, because you need to upgrade your harness, but even if they are the reccomened wattage, like the cool blues, they still may melt, becasue mine did, but the harness is only like what, 10 bux at Nissan?
