What's Faster?

For those with Automagics from a standing point is just flooring the car faster? or putting the foot closer and closer to the ground. you guys get what i'm saying? basically what i'm trying to say is what should you do to get the highest rpm and the most out of your max

hold brake while putting rpm to 2000k and then relase brake when light is green

What the guy above me said. Never go WOT from a STOP your wheels are just gonna spin. Start off with 1/2-3/4 throtle at about 2700rpm's floor it and say bye-bye...

Have you compared this method and just flooring it at the track?

ive noticed that from a complete stop, if you just floor it you either get lots of tire spin or a hesitation in actual accelleration.

I have tried just about every way to get off the line and my best times and 60' have come from a half throttle torque and then floor it when the light turns.
If you are getting that much wheelspin you either need different tires, different pressure or a better surface to race on.
Even when I ran my 1.8 60' I had minimal wheel spin, it just keeps on the ragged edge of spinning.
If you are doing this on the street you could have any different number of results because of surface conditions.
I also leave it in Drive unless running N/A because the 1-2 shift comes so fast it would hit the rev limiter.

Bottom line is that you have to either adjust your technique or your car to get the best traction for conditions at that particular time.
