F/S: LED Interior Light Similar to Metal Max's
 

Hi everyone! A friend of mine has a company that makes LED light boards for interior lighting in cars/homes and he makes something VERY similar to Metal Max's LED lights.
Who would be interested in a set? I have them installed in my doors, really bright :) and fit perfectly in the casing. I'll have pics tonight.

For a pair of them it'll cost $40 or for one $25. These are 12 LEDs boards with a resistor.
Also 28 LED boards for dome lights for $30.

If a lot of people are interested I'll ask and see if you guys could get a discount. i'd say 10 at a time? These can be used anywhere else just needs a positive and negative connection. I plan on using two for my trunk. and maybe two for my licenses plate lights.

I took the pictures at a fairly fast shutter speed so that the pictures represent what i see in person the best i could.

If enough people are interested i'll let him know to make some in bulk.

Basically the best way I could describe these is that they are STUPID bright, its insane. haha and are not even as hot as regular bulbs

I'm in for a dome light, does fit inside the cover? or entire housing replacement?

Edit: the doors look nice too, I'll take a pair, but please explain the installation procedure.

I`d like to see the license plate ones too, if there as bright as the new lexus`s ones I would be down for a set.

I can do a little how to, but basically you can do two things:

1. splice into red and black wires in the door.
2. get a wedge adapter that plugs right into the reg bulb (i'll have to ask if he will be including this as apart of the package.
The board itself fits perfectly on top of the housing and the clear lens snaps over that without any extra pressure.

I didnt get the adapter so i just spliced, simple enough. ;)

As for the dome light i have to check the fitting as I didn't get that when i bought the doors. I'll get back to you on that.

They will be brighter I'm 100% sure of it. I'll try to get pics tonight after i do the fitting for them.

sounds good , how many LED bulbs are used for the license plate? or r u just usin the door ones? And I think u can sell a lot more if he can include those adaptors, so it will be pretty much plug n play sounds like.

Also the pics are 18 leds is that correct because you put 12 leds

oops! thanks yeah its the one pictured (those are the smallest anyways) so 18 LEDs. And I'm going to try and use 18 LED for the lic plate tonight, check here for an update later. put your name on the list if you are interested.

It'd be great if he can provide the wedge adapter. Also, if the LED boards simply stay in, won't it rattle around?

yea I'm gonna wait till I see the pics n make sure they don't rattle around . and see if he can lower the price if we get close to 10 people. And also let us know bout the adaptor as well that will really help. thanx

actually no if you look at the picture with the flash drive the one with the LED's pointing down it has 3M adhesive on the back (red color plastic is the peel) that will stick on the housing, i'll take some pictures of that for you guys since some are concerned about it. stay posted.

YES! good news guys! i found out he makes 8 LED boards too that measure 1.5 x .8 in!! that should fit fine in the lic plate, I measured out the space last night and it'll be fine. I dont have pics of this as i'd have to order a couple first. I'm actually going to place an order with him for some lic plate lights and a dome light.

Does the door led come with the wedges?

dome, center, not the sunglass one....although i think the lic plate measurements will fit in that spot. there is also a square on available which measures 1.38 x 1.38. I plan on eventually buying on of everything to test fit if there is enough demand. but I personally only wanted doors, lic, and dome. i'll keep everyone updated over the weekend. please be patient. :)

Im still wondering if I should get the LED license plates but do I really need people to see my plates from afar?... :)

I wanted something in writing saying that it would include the adapters and waiting on that before i order, as i dont want to get stuck with all these and lights b/c no adapter. :( I'll keep everyone updated.

I think the lic LEDs will match up perfect with Lexus lic lights. not too bright but more sharp in lighting.

im in the final stages of confirming the wedge adapters they take a couple of days to reply, i usually reply within a few hours. sorry for the deal i just dont want to front the money then have everyone bail b/c no adapters....

well I was told that the adapter will be included with the boards. So I'll be making an order tomorrow based on the list below.
