WTB: Exhaust Catback/axleback 00-03 Maxima

It's impossible to say since acceptable noise levels are so subjective. From reading the various threads around here, the MR catback is roughly equivalent to the Cattman which itself is described as not being very loud. I attribute my not liking it to simply being very particular in my "old" age.
The combination Megan Racing (MR) B-pipe and muffler was too loud for my tastes, but the combination MR B-pipe and stock muffler is extremely quiet. The combination stock B-pipe and MR muffler may be similar, assuming you plan on using the stock B-pipe. When my stock system was falling apart, there were times when the connection from the B-pipe to the muffler had been open. What was clear during that time is that the stock B-pipe quiets the exhaust down quite a bit on its own. My problem was the MR resonator, which is still on my car, did not do an equivalent job and therefore needed a more restrictive muffler to meet my needs. I have a manual and do a lot of highway driving such that the engine sits at an RPM for a while, which was annoying to me when it was anything but silent.
If you do a search for Megan Racing, you should be able to find sound clips of the entire exhaust, which will of course be much louder than if you use the MR muffler in combination with a stock B-pipe.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
