I have the original navigation head unit and matching Bose head unit from my 02 Maxima. Just the navigation head unit is over $3000 from Nissan. I bought a spare off of ebay when I had my Max. This is the original one from my max as I put the spare one in my max to test it and then just left it in. I have no need for it now, I traded my max in on a Speed6 last year.

I had a 03 6 disc Bose system in my 2k so I don't see why not. It should be the same opening & fit in's. 240 SE you got a pic of it in the Max before you took it out?

I don't know what is involved in adapting this to a Maxima that did not come with factory navigation but the navigation unit has the auto climate control interface built in. I don't have the wiring harness but I do have the shop manual in pdf format.

Just an FYI - This would definitely not be plug and play unless you already had the factory Navigation. Search the 5th gen forums there's quite a few threads on this.

Mine was installed from the factory, so I wouldn't know how to retrofit one into a 6-disc Bose. With this nav, there's a 6-disc changer in the trunk. The finished look is clean, but the navigation software is CD-based, not DVD-based, like most newer ones.

Are you willing to sell only the climate controls buttons off this unit? I have an 02 with stock navigation and one of the buttons broke off.

I want to sell it all together. Why don't you just buy the whole thing and then you would have a spare? It will be big bucks to get this from a dealer.

just to let you guys know in case you were wondering, you will need the harness thats behind the dash board of a max that did come with the navi for this to work.....

I called nissan the harness for the unit is in the main harness...retail 1300.. or maybe u can try n find the harness for cheap at a junk yard..im looking rightnow so if I find one I'm all over this stock navi..

You also need the rear cd player to listen to a cd while the navi is operating.

I noticed that on the unit you're selling. There are 6 climate control buttons plus the temperature ****. Non-Navigation models have 9 buttons plus the temp ****. Your unit lacks a button for rear defrost and the up/down buttons for the blower. Are these buttons somewhere else in cars with navi?

Touch screen for manual fan control but I usually left it in auto. Separate buttons for rear window and side mirror defrost.

hi..
i have 02 mex. its came loded with factory navigation with boss system... yesterday .. i was driving with my freind ..he accidently turn my ac/heat on .. while i try to turn em off each button i touch they fell off and came off from navigation side (broke down) so now my ac/heat on i cant shut it off .. but i can control it like increase the fan speed high to low by touching the navigation + my navigation works fine. so i took it to the dealer right away .. they said im in a big mess there is no alternative only options are replace to brnd new ($4500) or to remanufacture ($1200). i ask them if there is anyway or any face kit so i can just take away the factory navigation. thay said no cuz its control my ac/heat. they also said i should resolve the problem as soon as possible or els my compressor + other component will be affected since the ac/heat is always stay on. i just want to get out of this mess as soon as possible and i want to get rid of the factory navigation which control my ac/heat too .. so im here to get help if there is any face kit or anything i can do to remove the factory navigation and keep my ac/heat working?. please respond as soon as possible . i really need this .. if there is a way .. where and how plz explain with details please kindly ... all help will be aprecited! thanks to you all and to this great .. forums!
