question to those 02 max's with bodykits?

I have a quick question to the fortunate indiviudals who have a bodykit, side skirts and rear skirts?
I know you have to paint the body pieces, but did you have to get the body painted too, to blend in the colors. Or did you just paint the bodykit pieces and install them without touching the body of the already painted max...??

99.95% of the time it's just the kit that's painted to match the body.
