I'm starting to hate my exhaust
It's loud. Really loud. Here's my setup
Berk intake Frankencar midpipe Stillen Y pipe Custom 2 1/2" catback. 24" glass pack (resonator) Fucuz muffler What should I replace? I called the shop and asked why they used a glasspack instead of a regular resonator and he told me that the ones they have use more internal packing so they are the best. Do I need a new muffler? Or resonator? |
sometimes a high flow cat smoothes things out. or you should have stayed with the oem muffler.

replace the glasspack with stock resonator and replace the focuz with flowmaster 50 series...

The best thing instead of all the recommendations is to add another resonator.
We have room for it. The best would be to put two resonators about 4" apart from each other, and make the first one like 18-20" and the next one 10-12". Believe me it is better than putting on 36" one, it is the whole sound deadening concept to put two on there and space them. Dixit |

I doubt the resonator will do much without changing the muffler. My friends '67 Camaro with a medium built 327, headers, and exhaust was tamed PERFECTLY with a Flowmaster under regular cruising, but SCREAMS at WOT. If it can quite that beast, it should make your Max sound like a kitten. |
