Problems? cars woun't start...And I need parts and info

Well anyway, the car started fine when it was pulled out the shop, now it kinda won’t. Basically it seems like it wants to turn over but don't...I think it's the coils since that seems to be the common problem theme...Battery, alt and voltage is all fine...So what I need is to know the resistance of the coils so I can check them to see if that’s it and which ones are dead...Also the spark plugs where checked and they spark very little that’s kind of another reason I'm thinking coils...So another thing I need is to know where I can get the coils cheap since I know retail is like 300 a piece.

If that all fails I guess I'll check the starter...But I'll stick with the coil idea for now. Unless there’s really something else I’m missing.

On another note I need to know where to get the AE engine cover as well if you could point me in the right place...

By the way I need this info right away so please no guessing I can’t spend a lot of time searching through post whoreing.

Thanks

Have you checked the MAF?

Hmmm... how about chipped ignition key/immobilizer(sp?) goofing up on you (code not reading properly). did you try starting a car using another key

Good luck,
Max

Kewl Kewl...You woun't happen to know resistance of the coils would ya?

Maksim2000: Key is fine.

The reason why I doubt it is coils is: What are the chances of all of them going bad at once ? And I think it will start and try to run on a couple of cylinder

I had a friend who's moms maxima lost 3 and would not start.

Why not measure the resistance of all the coils. If they all read the same then it's not that. Chances of losing all six in about 1,000,000 to 1.
