I'm just now getting to know my one-month-old 2K. I have noticed that there are two cooling fans and last night I was observing its beauty and left the engine running. Do you guys think the noise coming from the front end is rather loud during idle? Just an observation and would like to know your opinions on this. I don't know anyone who also has a 2K so I don't really know what is normal.

I have a Y2K Max SE. The engine sound during idle sounds fine in my car, no different than other cars. If you turn on the AC or the electric fan turns on to cool the engine, you'll hear a bit more noise. If you had your hood open, you'll hear additional noises usually muted by the hood, which might make you think the engine is noisy.

True True. My Car is a bit loud when the AC fans turn on, but otherwise the engine is pritty qouet. whenever it gets too loud when I can't bair it anymore I just turn the engine off :D

it's loud, but at least u know it's working. but w/o the fans, stilla tad louder, it's a v6 not a four banger. (not a hater 4 bangers are tight.)

I think I read somewhere that the two cooling fans are there to cancel out the noise they make. Rather than having one huge fan, they have two in there configured in such a way. I think it was on nissan's web page where I read this.
