Installing a shift light tonight. Place your bets!

I just got my Harlan shift light from Adam in Texas and I am going to make a bold attempt to install it tonight. Any advice would also be appreciated. I already printed Ice2k1's instructions.

Anyhow, I thought I would post a thread up so you could all guess what part of my car I am going to break. Since there is electirical wiring involved, ANYTHING can go wrong!!

Any guesses?? :gotme:

Hmm, I'll lay some bonads on your success with the shift light, but when you turn your lights on, all the dash will be dark except that really cool light and you'll drive for some time with a flashlight pointing at your dash to see the speedo. Just my bet :)

I have installed this EXACT light in my 2K1. If you have questions, lemme know. I can help. Just go slow and you will be fine. I used his write up. Just make sure you get the "correct" striped wire. I mounted my up in the visor line. So its active all the time.

Mad Dog is a beer I'm guessing.

M.D. = Mountain Dew

not personal experience, but back in the old college days, knew a couple guys (not lightweight drinkers either) who tried it (for a cheap 'buzz') and they were sick as heck the next day with hangover headaches of epic proportions...

:D

;) I learned early on that the cheap buzz is not worth the consequences the next morning.:)

You will blow your fuses and melt the coil wires. The shock will go down to the spark plugs causing them to seize up, which will cost you $500 to remove them. :)

j/k Good luck!

Depends on how long the other end takes. It'll take me about a day to install the turbo kit and another day to hook up the boost controller, turbo timer, relocate water injection, and install all the loose ends.
