My observations on Nissan's paint after 1+ years

I just noticed something about the Max after a year-1/2 into owning it. After the first couple of weeks owning it i haven't seen any new paint chip developing and i've let it go through some tough roads these days. Even people slamming their doors into mine only yields a small ding.

I guess there is some truth into the curing process for the paint.

no way

no..you just had a car with defective Nissan paint (in other words, good paint) :goofy:

paint takes AT THE MOST six months to cure.

nvision Nov 20, 2002 02:22 AM

yup

i somewhat concur with the first post. my paint issue is also quite minor, just small swirls and minute scratches from flying pebbles on the road, and everyday i drive thru one of the worse highways in the bay area. those living in the south bay would know all about hwy880 and its never-ending road construction and the countless occurrances of 18-wheelers that hogs up all possible lanes on that pathetic stretch onto hwy237 junction. i often ride directly behind those monsters as i fight my way onto the onramp. it's insane.
