Finally, I've arrived

Just wanted to intro myself to the forum members, I'm getting ready to go an update my profile, so I just wanted to make sure I was finally on the board.

I don't expect any warm welcomes or anything like that, I seen how you cats treat newbees on this forum.

Just so you know I've experienced some major problems just trying to get my account activated that's why I haven't posted anything for the past few months, don't ask.
Just wanted to say what's up?

If the problems were due to you having an AOL account, I know that has been an issue, but that was fixed about 1month ago.

Anywho.... You got in. Enjoy the ride, please keep all hands and feet inside at all time and wait till it comes to a complete stop before exiting.

I hear ya - they seem ruthless around here when it comes to newbies. I'm a long time contributor on the TCCOA (T-bird/Cougar) forum as well as the Maximum-Suzuki (Suzuki Bandit/Katana motorcycles) forums so I kinda know the guidelines when it comes to postings - the most important one being to use the search function before posting a topic.

:stupid:

Now if I can only get my sig. to work........

Thanks fellaz,
And don't worry I know about how yall feel about using the search function before asking questions that can be answered by just not being too lazy to look for ourselves.
I do appreciate the welcome (I was wrong for now)I guess it was pretty warm.

I think the only noobs that really get pounced on generally asking some question that has *just* been beaten to death, and is often still on the first page. Just unfortunate timing usually :)

bk2kmax Dec 22, 2002 07:13 PM

Yeah, I noticed that in my many weeks of observation, just hope I don't make anymore stupid oversights like I just did in the last reply to another thread where I failed to look at the year of the person's ride who was asking a question about mods and I told him to get a y-pipe, knowing that there's isn't a y-pipe for an 02/03 yet.

Silly me, newbee mistake or more like newbee oversight.:bawling:

Oversights are no problem

It's more like what TimW said, when someone asks which intake to get when there are already three threads on the same subject listing on page one, or the dreaded 235/45/17 on stock rims question.:wall:

Welcome to the .org! I joined like a month ago before I bought the max, and ever since then the members here have helped me with any issue related to the car. This is one of the best forums out there!

Enjoy!

:jeffy:

My mom has a Camry LE and all I can say is - "no sir, I don't like it!"

It's a good car as far as quality goes, but if you push it at ALL it ain't happy. Tires squeel without even trying! Reminds me of my grandma's 1980 Eldorado, "The Banana Boat" (pale yellow paint with pale yellow leather)

Jer Dec 23, 2002 10:47 AM

Eldorado?

Here's what one looks like - it's a tank. It's the style AFTER the style of Eldorado that Boss Hogg cruised around in The Dukes of Hazzard.

'80 Eldorado

We don't have it anymore but it had like a 6.0L V8 engine w/ fuel injection. It got about 10-12 mpg in the city too (not kidding).

I remember being able to floor it and actually seeing the gas guage move!!
