Dealers can't fix auto tranny leak, been in service a dozen times last month

And they still cant fix a leaking auto tranny fluid.

After about 8 visits (each one saying they fixed it and returned it to us) they finally found the problem or so they think. A small hole in the aluminum casing of the auto tranny (02 GLE)

Went back in to get fixed, still leaking.

Now its gonna go back in for around the 10th time I geuss for the same problem.

Anyone had similiar problems???

This is gettting so annoying, couldn't they just call it a lemon and give the money back?

They won't call it a lemon car, you need to push for it! I beleive the law states if after 3 attempts a remody has not been reached the car needs to be bought back. Read up on the lemon law and take action.

10 TIMES for the SAME problem
Listen to Emax and talk to the service manager.

By this point and time I would have had the service manager's head on a silver platter. That is absolutely rediculous for them not to fix it right the first time, much less the other 8 times after that. Screw talking to the service manager this time. Go straight to the GM of the dealership and tell him exactly what you expect to be done. Kindly remind him that the car could be in a "lemon" status due to the number of failed attempts (and the time period in for repairs).

3 times on the same problem is considered as a lemon. I would just file one and get the money back. A friend of mine filed one on a Galant he bought and got the full refund back.

Thats ****ing BS, use the lemon and get yourself a new car already.

:spit: I read your post too fast; I thought you said "go straight to a GM Dealership and have them fix it!"

Well I read up on Florida lemon laws and I could file for lemon but I would have to contact nissan, and then they would have 10 days to point me to a service center, and then the service center would have 10 days to fix the problem.

I called again today and they said they ordered a new alluminum casing for the tranny, supposedly cost them 2k but who cares.

I recommend you go ahead and file.
