Dash lighting on 03's

Has anybody noticed uneven lighting on the right side of the spedo and left side of the tach? It's not so bad when it's really dark out but can really be noticed at dusk. I'm thinking I should bring it up to the dealer when I take it in for my 3500 mile oil change.

I noticed a long time ago the lighting on my AE is not quite uniform, but I just decided to live with it rather than risk the service guys doing more damage to the car by trying to get at it and MAYBE fix it.

I've only got 200 miles on my car and on the way home from the dealership I noticed that. I even confirmed that the dimmer was all the way up, too. Annoying!

I have noticed this since since day 1. It is quite annoying...
Pretty cheap of Nissan to let this go and have the dash look like this. Has anyone replaced the bulbs simply with something brighter??

seems like too much trouble than it's worth..but if it's an easy procedure..lemme kno of results..i would like to get rid of it...
i just assumed it was because of the bulb placement...since the left side of the speedometer is brighter..i just assumed the bulb was behind the left side...i dunno

When I take it to them to replace one of my foglights(under warranty), I am also going in for the same thing.......

In addition...regarding the dash lights...

Has anyone noticed at night, when you are idle the lights turn a bit brighter when you step on the gas and go? Happens to me everytime. As soon as I start to go from a stop, the dash lights turn just a bit brighter. Again, this is another cheap Nissan annoyance...

Actually, I've seen that happen on a lot cars. I think it has to do with the alternator but I'm not certain about that.

What's up 03MAXNOV? Easy E from OV here. It looks like you are not the only 03 with the dash light problems. Hopefully they can do something for that.

Did you look on Ebay for the FSTB yet? I saw some on there for your car for about $27 including shipping. That is even cheaper than what I paid. Not a bad mod for under $30.

I will be in the hood this weekend so I will drop by and say what's up. Later.

Wow you guys are anal.

Sometimes I just wanna say, "If you want a perfect car, then fork over the cash. You get what you pay for; we certainly didn't pay for a perfect car." Ok, I said it.

I hear ya. I've read some posts about "problems" that even my anal nit-picking a$$ would over look. However, something like this seems that it is a design / build issue and should be addressed. Now I've gotta take a look at my dash when I go home.

this makes me happy I thought my UDP was causing that to happen.
