Update:My car engine light came on...put stock airbox it went off...now won't start?
 

So my Service Enigine Soon light came on last week of Feb '03....my work schedule is tight last week of every month so I couldn't take it in. On Tues. 03/04/03 I took out my Franken Mid-Pipe & JWT Pop-Charger & put the stock airbox back on w/ a brand new K&N drop-in filter. Turned on car & started fine & Service Engine Soon light shut off:confused:

Ok, I leave car on for 10min. then drive to Best Buy 5min. from my house. I'm in Best Buy no more then 10min. then come out & car doesn't want to start:confused: Doesn't even crank? So I had to get it towed from Best Buy to the Closest Nissan Dealership.

I talked to service manager today since I know him & he said doesn't know what caused it but it was the starter & they are putting a brand new one on. Anybody else have this kind of problem? I don't think it was the Franken Mid-Pipe & JWT Pop-Charger that caused it.

Actually I believe my Crimestopper Alarm caused this....for the past 2 months I haven't remote started the car for the fact that it overcranks when starting it & tries 3X then it just stops. I believe the shop didn't install it right. I just found the receipt yesterday b/c they wouldn't fix it unless I came in w/ my receipt. I'm going to bring it in 1 more time & if still don't work then I'm suing for my money back. Thank God for Pre-Paid Legal:D
(P.S.-- This will be the 3rd time taking car to fix alarm. If you live in chicagoland, never go to Pro Audion in Lyons, IL!!!)

yeah thats what i was thinking too :thumbsup:

Sounds like the starter.. and of course your alarm over cranking and stuff... burned the starter out. Do you do a lot of short stops ie turn car off start car and so on? burned out the starter.

not really....i really do think its the alarm though b/c when i did use the start feature for the first few months it would overcrank to many times-- :mad:
