have you tried turning off your engine for a while? cuz i remember running my 2k 90mph+ for straight 3 hours and same kinda thing happended. But after cooling it down a little bid at a gas station, everything came back normal. it's probably the stress on your engine. which year model is it btw?

it's 2000 maxima
and
it was doing 4000 RPM at a speed of 70 mph
after cooling it down for a lil bit
things came back to normal
but the service engine sign is still on
