That alone SHOULD put your car in the sub $10K range. Dump it.

A dealer offered me $10,500 for my immaculate loaded SE with leather that has only 43K miles.

I'm stunned you were offered that much with a rebuilt title. If you're going to sell it, do it now. It's not going to gain any value.

i dont think its as much as how much its worth on "paper" as how much its worth to me,

dudes, im 17 and this is my 1st car...ive won so many races, so many people have complimented me, ive done some crazy $hit in it and gotten oout in 1 piece

maybe im just too damn attached

Sounds to me .....

Like you've already made up your mind. Although I doubt that you will EVER get another offer like this with an 'R' title, and lots of cosmetic damage. Even if you do sell it, and the person needs a loan, the bank may not loan any money on an 'R' title. If he's paying cash, you'd be a fool not to jump on it, take the money, and buy a good, clean car for the same money. I think when push comes to shove, the deal won't go through. As someone said above, he's got one nicer than yours and was offered LESS. Forget the personal stuff and dump it.

Good point. Most banks will NOT finance that loan. Take it and run.

Okay. Someone edjumicate me here. Does 'rebuilt' mean a car put back together after a bad accident(i.e. salvage) or a rebuilt engine, or something else?

kjpierce Mar 26, 2003 07:47 PM

you are correct sir!

"this vehicle was previously issued a salvage title"

i know cuz i bought a 91 s-10 as a salvage title.

The "R" is for "restored".

Restored- car gets in accident but gets repaired.
